Choosing a Battery
There are many batteries available on the market today and choosing
the right one to use in your camcorder can be confusing. Camcorder requirements
are very demanding on batteries. Your camcorder has been designed to
operate correctly using a variety of AA-size batteries currently available.
These include 1.5-volt alkaline, 1.2-volt Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
or Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) batteries. The table below describes requirements
or the CANON battery of choice, if available, in order of general preference
for performance in a digital camera. Generally, if you choose not to
use rechargeable batteries, use CANON PHOTOLIFE alkaline batteries.
These batteries will last more than twice as long in camcorders as ordinary
alkaline batteries.
